A new community submission on r/VALORANT introduces a fan-made agent concept named ION. The character, whose real name is Maverick Tremblay, is a Canadian former Kingdom security officer. Designed as an Initiator, ION utilizes radiant energy technology to enhance his capabilities, focusing on ensnaring, infiltrating, and exterminating enemy forces. The concept art reportedly took four hours to create, with the overall design process taking three hours. ION’s unique effect, called Electrified, triggers a global sound cue and deals 20 decay damage while slowing enemies by 35% per tick. This effect lasts for three seconds per tick and can stack. His signature ability, Overcurrent, allows him to instantly enter an overcharged state with constantly decaying overhealth. During this 10-second duration, he can equip one ability to enhance it or reactivate to regain all other abilities. The ability has a 40-second recharge time. Additionally, his basic ability, Capacitor, involves deploying a floating drone that ricochets off walls. This concept remains a fan creation and has not been confirmed by Riot Games as an official addition to the roster.
