Genshin Impact players should prepare for the upcoming Version 7.2 update, titled "Hour of Ruin." The development team has announced that update maintenance will begin on November 4, 2026, at 06:00 UTC+8. The maintenance window is estimated to last five hours, after which the game will transition to the new version.

To minimize downtime for players, pre-installation for Version 7.2 is currently available. Travelers can download a portion of the update resources in advance, ensuring faster access once the servers come back online. This proactive step helps streamline the transition to the new content.

As standard compensation for the server downtime, eligible players will receive 300 Primogems. This amount is calculated at 60 Primogems per hour of maintenance. To qualify, Travelers must have reached Adventure Rank 5 or above by the start of the maintenance window on November 4. The compensation will be distributed via in-game mail within five hours of the maintenance completion. Players are advised to claim these rewards before the end of Version 7.2, as the mail will expire after 30 days. This update marks a significant step in the game's ongoing content rollout.
