VALORANT Patch 13.06 has officially launched, delivering what the development team describes as one of the largest updates in recent years. The patch introduces Gauntlet: Glitched, a new limited-time mode featuring 2v2 battles against seven other duos. Players can draft abilities from various Agents and upgrade them as the match progresses across new arenas.
Competitive play receives substantial attention with the introduction of The Warden and Practice Range in Queue. Additionally, a new Agent Mastery system and a redesigned home and lobby experience are now live. Riot highlighted the impact of recent anti-cheat measures, noting that boosting detection has banned 1,600 accounts per day, totaling over 90,000 accounts since July 20.
Looking ahead, the developers confirmed that further competitive features are planned for subsequent patches. Map Rating is scheduled for Patch 13.08, while Competitive Flex and Radiant experience updates are targeted for Patch 14.00. This update marks a significant shift in the competitive landscape, aiming to enhance player progression and match integrity.
